warming into summer, sf by neolithos warming into summer, sf by neolithos
sunset last night at "ocean beach" from cliff house, san francisco. nice and warm here this weekend. :) but when summer actually arrives, it will often be cold and foggy. full view!

300mm, limited dof, underexposed, + highlights & shadows, no color adjustments.

here's another interactive panorama, from close to where i stood: [link]

fantastic!
great composition, well chosen format, amazing colors and light!
but you still need something more for original shot and maybe you should have more attention in upper part were lines goes..... those walkers in lower part are very attractive-too much!

keep going with such photos!-great!

i think this is the perfect example of when and how one should under-expose...

:omg: great photo! Sunset at the beach! Love the way you captured all those people from up there. Oh and look at those colors on the water, a silver beach!!

This reminds me of the Summer days...

Beautiful composition and colours. The sun is low enough so that you have captured nicely its light. Well done indeed!

I like the layered effect the sea has here, and the way in which you have cropped the photo to draw attention to the division of light and colour between land and sea. Using the middle-distance as focal point gives the piece a peculiar 3d effect (well, to me anyway).

The sand looks a little greeny/grimy and the top-most area blurred and smoky though; is this due to the exposure or pollution?

Nice piece though. Oh, and it reminds me of Lowry.

thanks! the 3d effect was what i went for. glad you see it. :) the green in the sand may be algae. underexposure in the cam and then raising light/shadow levels in psp tends to enhance the color sat without making any color adjustments. the distance is obscured due to mist and dof.
